Studied at the Institute of Oriental Studies, Jagiellonian University, Institute of Oriental Languages and Civilisations in Paris (Hebrew studies), Sorbonne IV (Hamito-Semitic linguistics; Diplôme des Études Approfondies), Institut Catholique (Biblical Hebrew course); language courses at the Hebrew University in Jerusalem, workshops for teachers of Hebrew in Israel. In 1990 started working at the Institute of Oriental Studies, Jagiellonian University; in 1994 – at the Mordechai Anielewicz Center for the Study and Teaching of the History and Culture of Jews in Poland as lecturer in Hebrew.
