Introduction to Classical Islamic Culture - first class

Dear Students,

 

it is with great pleasure that I welcome you to my "Introduction to Classical Islamic Culture" course. At the same time, I'd like to inform you that due to my research trip to Italy, the first class will take place on October 12 and the class next Thursday (October 5) is called off.

May 11th: Prof. Ine Jacobs paper "Old statues, new meanings. Literary and archaeological evidence for Christian re-interpretation of classical statuary"

On May 11th prof. Ine Jacobs will present a paper "Old statues, new meanings. Literary and archaeological evidence for Christian re-interpretation of classical statuary".
 
The paper will be delivered at the late antique seminar, on Thursday, 11 May, at 4.45 p.m., in the library of the Department of Papyrology (Faculty of Law building, Collegium Iuridicum I) on the main campus.
