Call for Papers: Cult of Saints in Late Antiquity

The Cult of Saints in Late Antiquity is a major 5-year ERC-funded research project, based primarily in Oxford, supported by a team in Warsaw. The project is mapping the cult of saints as a system of beliefs and practices in its earliest and most fluid form, from its origins until around AD 700.

Cult of Saints in Late Antiquity – Programme and registration

On 27-29 September the Institute of History will host a final conference of the ERC project The Cult of Saints in Late Antiquity. For five years the team of the project, based in Oxford and in Warsaw, have investigated the beginnings of the cult of saints in all cultural and linguistic spheres of early Christianity up to c.700.
